Mathematics is an essential subject that helps students develop logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. However, due to its abstract nature, many elementary school students struggle to understand the concept because their cognitive development is still in the concrete operational stage. The purpose of this study is to see how learning media functions to improve the understanding of mathematics students in elementary school. The research uses a qualitative approach with a library research design through a systematic analysis of ten relevant scientific articles. Data was collected from national journals that discuss various types of learning media, such as concrete media, fractional cards, counting funnels, interactive media, Quizizz, Educandy, Powtoon, animated videos, digital media, and multimedia based on iSpring Suite. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that learning media plays an important role in transforming abstract mathematical concepts into more real and relevant learning experiences. Concrete media helps students visualize concepts directly, while digital and interactive media encourage students to participate more actively and increase their motivation. Video and multimedia-based media also make the classroom more interactive and engaging, which helps students understand concepts. Thus, the integration of various learning media has proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts and the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.
